The Lake by the Waterfall

Haru looks up at Saiyou again when he lets go of her hand, she then looks at Kei then back at Saiyou. she takes his hand again.
it's ok Yakatu...Kei's a pussy cat really



Kei looks a little startled at haru, she'd never known haru to make jokes, even bad ones.

Saiyou laughs uncomfortably as Jaruka looks back at Saiyou narrowing his eyes
Was that weakness you showed boy!?

Saiyou looks at Jaruka, almost seeming pissed off.

haru bites her lip, looking scared she moves a little behind Saiyou gripping his hand a little tighter


Kei growls but looks at nothing, indicating she wanted the tone of the conversation changed

Jaruka looks around and then laughs, shaking his head and looking back out at the lake.

Kei moves and sits next to Jaruka, she says nothing and just stares at the water.


Haru continues to hide behind Saiyou, and starts to bite her nails

Saiyou turns around, keeping Haruka in her place and looking down at her
*What is it?*

haru looks up at him her eyes large showing her fear
I thought that......
she looks down and fidgets remembering how the scientists would pick fault with what she had done then attack her

Saiyou tilts his head slightly
*Nobody is picking fault with you, Haruka*

haru holds onto him a little tighter and continues to bite her nails
but Jaruka was mad....I didn't mean to make him mad

Saiyou holds Haruka gently and shakes his head
*He was yelling at me, not you*

haru shakes her head
he got angry when I spoke

Saiyou smiles at Haruka and runs his fingers down the back of her hair turning to Jaruka and moving so they're standing next to each other
*It was aimed at me, don't worry*

Haru ducks under Saiyous arm and puts her arms around his waist still feeling very insecure and frightened

Saiyou holds onto Haruka tightly
*Don't be scared, I promise you, he was talking to me, because you acted as though I was afraid of Kei, he thought that I was showing weakness*

Haru looks up at Saiyou and nods slowly but still doesn't let go of him. She looks back at the floor and rests the side of her head on his shoulder.

Saiyou smiles and looks over at Jaruka and Kei.

Kei had been watching them out of the corner of her eye
*it looks like you have competion Jaruka...and with your last out burst I'd say he was winning*

Jaruka smiles at Kei
*I'll probably leave Haruka to Saiyou, it seems my form of training may not work on someone so unstable

kei looks over to him
*you haven't even tried to train her yet...all you've done is test her to see what she can do or withstand*

Jaruka nods and looks out across the lake
Yeah, the actual training is far worse though

Kei shakes her head
you have no idea what kind of student Haru is...she's a quick learner

Jaruka nods slowly
I was always very hard on my students, I don't think Haruka could emotionally withstand it

kei narrow's her eyes a little
so what are you saying?....your just going to up and leave her?

Jaruka shakes his head
I'll oversee her training but she'll spend her time with Saiyou

Kei looks a little relieved
good...I don't think she could stand loosing you just yet....and I'm starting to get use to you now aswell
